[RISE Weekly] An Exciting Week! 😀
Youth tomorrow, Fall Y'all on Saturday, our first Sunday on our property!
Dear Parents,
What an EXCITING week we have planned! I can’t wait to celebrate all that’s going on in our ministry and church with your students this week! Here is a summary of what’s happening:
Oct 23 – Our Last Wednesday Night at the Behnan’s
Oct 26 – Fall Y’all Festival (FBC Property)
Oct 27 – First Sunday on Property! (No Jr High Service)
Oct 30 – First Wednesday Night on Property!
Nov 3 – Jr High 1st Service resumes on the Property!
REMEMBER – We want to thank the Behnan’s tomorrow night, Oct 23, during our last Wednesday Night there! Would you consider bringing a card or small gift to youth on Oct 23 to express your thankfulness for them? We will bring them out at the end of our night to thank them and give them our gifts!
YOUTH TOMORROW (10/23)! 💥
Join us TOMORROW NIGHT (10/23), at the BEHNAN HOME FOR THE LAST TIME (36750 Robin Scott St, Murrieta, CA 92562) from 6:30-8:30 PM!
This Wednesday, we will continue studying the book of JAMES as we consider James 3:1–12! This will be such a helpful passage for our ministry as we consider the dangers of the TONGUE! We will ask students to consider their speech and whether it is glorifying to the Lord or not.
I am so thankful for how practical and relevant James has been for our students this semester! I pray it has stirred up great conversations in your home as students examine their faith in Christ.
FALL Y’ALL FESTIVAL THIS SATURDAY! 🎃
WE NEED MORE TRUNKS! 🚗🙏🏽
Help out at this year's Fall Y'all Festival! This is our NEW & IMPROVED trunk or treat event for all Jr Highers and their families! It is happening THIS SATURDAY, October 26, 2024 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the FBC Property! There are three ways you can help this year:
HOST A TRUNK! (THIS IS OUR BIGGEST NEED!!!!) Dress up and decorate your car trunk to whatever theme you'd like and run a fun activity for students. For example, you can decorate your trunk to the theme of Star Wars and challenge students to a lightsaber battle... or you can do a western cowboy theme and have students participate in activities like ring toss. Be creative and fun! Activities don't need to be too complicated – just quick, but challenging, activities/games that students can complete in order to earn a raffle ticket!
MAKE A TREAT! This year, we want to have multiple treat stations! Make or buy a fall treat like kettle corn, caramel apples, hot chocolate, donuts, etc. that you can pass out to students throughout the night! If you cannot hand out the treats because you cannot attend or because you also want to host a trunk, you can still volunteer to make/buy a treat and we will have someone else pass it out!
DONATE CANDY! We love to pass out candy at each station which means we need a TON of various candies! Consider donating a bag or two for this SWEET event!

Remember that THIS SUNDAY (10/27) is our FIRST SUNDAY on our church property! This will be a morning full of worship and celebration! Since we anticipate needing to use our youth room for overflow seating, there will not be Jr High this Sunday (10/27) but we will resume our Jr High service starting next Sunday (11/3) during 1st service in the youth room! Can’t wait! 🙌
Let the festivities begin!
In Him,
Terrell
RISE Rewind ⏮️

We had a great time last week as the students run wild while playing games and being goofy! But what we also do have a great time in and eagerly seek with greater importance is hearing the Word of God :) As we dive further into our study on James, we finish up chapter two that brings into question “what pattern does your life show?” and if we are again, examining ourselves if we are truly saved in Christ. We have learned about the test of suffering, the test of temptation, the test of our response towards God’s word, the test of partiality, and now we must examine if our faith actually “works”! If our faith is either DEAD, followed by a false confession, false conduct, and a false commitment, or if we have a LIVING faith followed by a true confession, a true conduct, and a true commitment that reflects on our lives!
We end the week on Sunday morning learning and understanding more on the unity of the trinity, being three distinct persons yet one God as we tackle misconceptions and faulty comparisons made on the trinity, where we see the trinity in the scriptures and their roles!
